"Madrega" - eleven continue apartments in Jerusalem, Rishon Letzion, Tel Aviv,Haifa, Ashkelon and Afula
“Madrega” adults’ apartments began operating 20 years ago, with the understanding that the treatment of graduates of the frameworks for the protection of youths lacking family support does not end at the age of 18, upon the completion of the stay at the different frameworks, and that they need a housing solution and a framework which would offer a softer transition to independent living and enable gradual integration, with guidance, direction and support.
The project began in the form of three apartments in Jerusalem, and over the years, due to need and demand, four additional apartments were opened throughout the country. Each apartment hosts four to five male or female adults, accompanied by a coordinator. Acceptance age is 18-20. Staying at the apartment requires exhibiting full functioning (work, military, national service) and compliance with the set rules. These adults bear the entire expenses related with the apartment and their living expenses, excluding rent and property taxes. The stay is limited to a two-year stay in the apartmentAddress: 7 Ephraim St. , Jerusalem

"Diurit" - housing complex for young women in Jerusalem
Jerusalem “Diurit” operates similarly to the complex in Tel Aviv, while at the same time also emphasizes seeking a solution for another obstacle faced by young women without family support, arriving from a religious and ultra-Orthodox background, which is to find some framework that would enable maintaining a religious way of life, as well as some space for exploration of their way of life. The Diurit in Jerusalem was established against this background in order to enable young women from religious and ultra-Orthodox backgrounds to benefit from all of the solutions provided by the Diurit, while allowing them to choose to lead a religious lifestyle in a comfortable and simple manner.
The apartments in Jerusalem Diurit keep Shabbat and Kashrut. At the same time, each young woman is entitled to choose her lifestyle as she wishes, and can undergo a process vis-a-vis her religious and spiritual world, without judgment or a requirement to meet any specific type of standard.Address: Bronfman Dormitories, Mount Scopus, Jerusalem
